What’s Inside the Tutorial?
- A 58-page PDF eBook filled with step-by-step guidance, clear instructions, photos, diagrams, handy tips, and creative inspiration.
This isn’t a technical pattern, but a freestyle tutorial. It’s designed to guide you through the process so you can make your own unique version of my Snood Hood.
What You’ll Need:
- 4-thread overlocker/serger (recommended)
- 4 cones of thread
- Sewing machine
- Pins
- Sewing needle
- Sharp sewing scissors
- Paper scissors
- Tape measure
- 2–6 sweaters
- Recycled fabric pieces
- 4 x A4 sheets of paper
- Sticky tape
- Printer
- Buttons for decoration (optional)
No Overlocker/Serger?
Don’t worry—you can still make this! A serger makes things quicker and easier, but you can also use a zigzag stitch on a regular sewing machine, or even hand stitch if you prefer a slower approach.
Who Is It For?
- Great for anyone who has upcycled knitwear before and has some experience with a sewing machine or overlocker/serger.
- Beginners are welcome too! With a little patience, you can hand stitch or use your sewing machine with a zigzag stitch.
- I’ve made this tutorial as clear and beginner-friendly as possible, with lots of pictures and even links to short, fun videos.
Whatever your experience, the most important part is to enjoy the process. Have fun creating something unique!
